Cloudy gold with a thick white head. Classic Weihenstephan yeast character — banana esters, clove phenols, and a whisper of vanilla.

First run. Chestnut brown, modest alcohol, full flavor. Caramel, toasted nuts, and an earthy hop bitterness. A humble North German style from before lager conquered Europe.
